Adam Kowalski
A cultural studies scholar, heritage interpreter, and cultural manager specializing in creating narratives and content related to cultural heritage and the role of local communities in heritage management processes. He is the author and curator of numerous social, artistic, educational, and outreach projects focused on both tangible and intangible cultural heritage, many of which have been recognized with awards at the regional level (six awards for Museum Event of the Year in the Silesian Voivodeship and two distinctions in the Sybilla competition for Museum Event of the Year in Poland).
He is the director, screenwriter, and producer of three final events for Industriada – the festival of the Industrial Monuments Route. He has coordinated and consulted on numerous participatory, social, research, and expert projects on local heritage and cultural landscapes.
He is the curator and co-creator of The Kingdom of Iron, an award-winning permanent exhibition at the Museum of Metallurgy in Chorzów, and the author of the narrative for the permanent exhibition The Tatra Archive of Planet Earth for the Tatra National Park (currently under development). An expert and co-creator of The City of Interweavings – the narrative for Bielsko-Biała’s candidacy as the European Capital of Culture 2029. A columnist for Dziennik Zachodni. He is the initiator and curator of the Postindustrial Entertainment Orchestra, a promoter of cultural parks, and an advocate for fourth nature.
